I agree that not all companies are the same. Still, AMD's comments strike me as dishonest or at least exaggerated. As I understand it, AMD has two main segments: CPU and Flash DRAM. Intel, IBM, and Dell have said there is a slow down in PC business. TI, RF Micro, and Conextant have said wireless sales will be down this Q and possibly the next one. So how is it that AMD is not experiencing a slow down in the wireless flash memory segment?

BTW, I don't recall a warning from TXN. Their comment was new (but not unexpected) to me.

On another note, I don't want to imply that stocks are not good buy here. For all I know may be the end of the world has been priced into them. I just need to hear that from Mr. Market. I find fundamental info useful in extended tops and bottoms. The rest of the time technicals rule.
