I was refering to Intel's comments about their own shipments in Q4 which was predicted 4%~8% growth. This is considerably lower than what's normal for them. As for IDC, who knows when they will get to update their numbers. May be all the data points they need is unavailable because the companies are still evaluating the situation. That doesn't mean the situation hasn't changed.

Like Brian says, not all chip companies are created equal.

Agreed. So all I know so far is that speciality chips are doing well. Aside from buying them, are there any related themes to play on?
