I'd say Intel has become the most over-analyzed company in techland. What's worse, some analysts (and dare I say the media?) in an attempt not to look foolish, focus only on that data which supports some bu!!sh!t pre-existing opinion about the health of INTC's business (no wonder it got upgrades and downgrades today).

As far as I can tell, Intel made only a cautionary statement about their revenues in September (a far cry from an "earnings warning"). Turns out they hit the high end of their revised sequential revenue range (8% growth), nailed the original .41 earnings number (52% annual growth), enjoyed higher than expected margins (64% - WOW!), and despite a no-show in Europe, made all these numbers thanks to going gangbusters in networking, flash, motherboards, and its communications businesses.

It's an insult to Intel that Wall Street rewards them with a 50% haircut - over $200 billion in market cap - simply because they're growing a few points slower on the top line. I understand management put the chill on the Q&A with analysts during the call. Good for them. Give them just enough rope...

Anybody hear anything about the ADI/INTC partnership??
