TXN made their number tonight and projects flat rev's for next Q (blaming slower wireless biz). The good news for them , which I take as better news for ADI, is centered on this bullish statement, one of TI's few: "DSP and analog are the core semiconductor drivers of a diverse mix of Internet-age applications," said Tom Engibous, TI chairman, president and CEO, in a statement. TI said there would be continued strong growth in the fourth quarter in sales of semiconductors for other high-tech communications devices such as cable modems, Internet audio services and broadband connections. No mention of losing biz to ADI. I guess we'll leave that to Fishman in November. BV
