I agree since no one is afraid they will be laughed by Paul and company, they all post. <g>
To be fair, Paul is there, so is Tony, and Frank. I haven't seen Elmer there yet.
Joe,
I am sorry.....but the current Paul is a shadow of the old Paul...and you don't even have the benefit of yousef. Even just before the mod thread was formed, Paul and those guys had chilled considerably. Before AMD began to execute, it was a mess and those guys took every opportunity to point it out......to denigrate people in the most screwed way...and then they would hint at problems that didn't exist......like Cu contamination at Dresden. I almost sold my AMD three times because of their hints of trouble. And Engel gave everyone a tag...I was tejerk. Charles was chuckles. Scumbria was SCUMbria...and so on.
And the AMD thread posters were mostly cowed and just took the abuse. Scumbria was the only one, just about, who confronted the Intel longs when they would do their raids. Its the reason I stopped lurking and joined SI. It so p*ssed me off that I wanted to get into a fight. I didn't know a semi chip from a potato chip and never ever had heard of AMD. After reading the posts for a while, I decided that Scumbria knew what he was talking about and I did some DD about Intel and found out about Merced and how long it was in the making.....and brought it and other Intel screw ups to the attention of the Intel longs. And then, when they wouldn't get it, I took the argument to the Intel thread. And whenever something positive happened with AMD, I usually posted it over there as well as here.
It was akin to the field slaves trying to wash up in the Manor house. At the time, the Intel thread was too refined for the trashing that was going on here. Engel's posts on the Intel thread were intelligent, informative and respectful....on the AMD thread, they were denigrating, cruel and unpleasant.
The mod thread and its occasional disputes is a facsmile of the old classic thread in its heyday.
Aaaaaahhh, siiiggghhhh......how I miss the old days. When threads were threads, and there was no moderator, and we were free to be real posters. ;~))
