TP,

I was just trying to investigate if there was a way to profit from the stock that is likely to be put to me, before it is put to me.

If you are thinking the market is headed down more, you can buy some puts to limit the worst case. I don't know what you got for writing the NOV45, but you might be able to buy NOV40 or NOV37.5 for the premium you got. On the other hand.. giving it some time might be rewarded. Up 2 today after the bad news in a shaky market could be a good sign. Assuming you can afford to have the stock put to you, you can always start wring calls when and if you get it.
