You're talking to a QuickBASIC fan. Back in the olden days we used QuickBASIC to make DOS into Unix, creating BBS software. I'm anxious to get MBASIC and CBASIC up and running on my 1981 Osborne (still trying to Feng Shui the A drive to boot). --- From what I understand, the BASIC that Bill Gates decided everyone was stealing though was *stolen! (BTW, and this was a long time later, one QuickBASIC compiler probably got passed around by 50 - 100 SysOps per license). Anyway, Visual Basic is a whole other can of spaghetti. --- You know what the hot new BASIC is? It's OpenOffice.org BASIC. It's the scripting engine for the OpenSource 'MS Office' free workalike. Irony. <g> -JCJ
