...What channel ??

Egads, I haven't a clue now. I watched the Star network alot back then, so perhaps it was one of those channels. I did not have cable, and as I recall, I only had a few channels to choose from.

...doesn't happen often

A handover in power doesn't happen often. It happened to Hong Kong in 1997. It also happened in Macau last year I think also. Usually, a change in gov't happens by a violent act such as a revolution or overthrow.

...Taiwan are rich in money reserved

I'm not sure if you noticed, but the Taiwan market dropped 50% in the last few months, despite the multiple attempts of the gov't to rescue it.

...I try to find out why certain people were hated and killed in Europe during WWII

I'm not an expert on history, but a repeating pattern in history is to use hate to rally people behind a tyrannicle leader. As I recall, it was the German's attack on Poland that initiated the entrance of France and England in the war. A lot of terrible acts followed, and they were perpetrated by the Nazi, Facist, and Japanese regimes.
