Don't forget the lockup expiration on HAND that will occur around 12/15/00. If what we saw with the bogus PALM lockup expiration is any guide, we can expect at least a 20% haircut in HAND prior to that point. So shorting HAND (or buying puts) a month or so prior to that date might be profitable. Then you could get a serious spike up in HAND as we go into the mid January 2001 earnings report for Q2.

Just a thought. Personally, I have a hard time shorting stocks, I'm more inclined to buy a few puts.
