Brian - the enthusiasm that many of us had for the early microprocessor work was in many ways like the feeling that Linux zealots have for Linus Torvalds. In the first years of that work, lots of people contributed some pretty significant programs to the effort and there was a general feeling that we were the "rebel underground". People tend to forget that MSFT has been at this for 25 years. I wonder what the Linux community will look like 20 years from now.
