...Something must be wrong in the cable

Star TV was available locally. I did not have cable. I lived in East Point City in Hang Hau near Junk Bay in the New Territories, but I imagine that Star TV is available throughout Hong Kong. It may also have been on TVB, which I also watched.

...they sold opium to China

I don't know much about that. We were fighting the Brits too in the 1700s.

...harbor is beautiful, especially when you view it from hill top. You cannot find any other city with similar view in the world. And of course, the people are nice.

I had a nice view of junk bay from my apartment. And of course the view of the islands from Clear Water Bay was magnificent. But when you go for a walk outside, after an hours you get a film of dust or something on your face. Pollution is bad. A ride on the Star Ferry is nice, but if water splashes your face, beware. Also, I got my first and only case of food poisoning in Hong Kong. My dear friend who lived in China came to work in Hong Kong, but she was not allowed to bring her child or husband even for a brief visit. Sure many people are nice in Hong Kong, but not the business people. Many of them are nasty.
