That must have become garbled in the translation, because you don't measure MTBF in those terms.

I don't have statistics on Sun uptime performance, but I have read anecdotes about Sun systems that have stayed up for years without a reboot, and I know that uptime (as well as MTTR, when things DO go wrong) is a particular priority with Sun. They also have HA features available on many (most?) of their servers (of course, not everybody spends the money to get them) like multiple PS's, hot swapping, etc.

Is there any information available yet on how often those "various vendors" are paying out on their guarantees of Win2K uptime?
