X,

I'm not sure I share your hardball approach to Greg's standpoint. I empathizes with Greg's contemplative attitude.... I mean, whatever an individual's sapience is, the world does conceal some inner magic. There'll always be that damn question, WHY IS THERE A UNIVERSE?? and WHAT ARE WE DOING (DOWN) HERE?? Hence, what Greg pointed to was indeed the kid's ingenuousness, that is, his ability for marvelling. And I for one feel that this kind of marvelling at the world's spectacle holds true not only for naive children, but for scientific geniuses and philosophers as well.
