OK, I used to do that with all the mining stocks on the VSE and we used to watch the net house positions, etc...in addition to knowing a lot of inside information on the players, etc.

But for the Big Board, how can one tell, since obviously there is a buyer and a seller of the same block? That's the part that must be a bit tricky? And what if they do the jitney thing, like the old VSE desks?

I guess the bottom line is this: How can we tell the signs of accumulation by the so-called "smart money" on the Big Board?
