AFfx down on a big up day... Hopefully this is just nervousness before the earnings which will beat estimates and send the stock upward again... Here's an interesting aside, though - I was comparing the charts of ssti and sndk - both flash memory manufacturers. Just for kicks I stuck affx in thre and - voila - the charts are remarkably similar. Then I stuck in INTC and MSFT - INTC was simliar, but not THAT simliar - msft was doing it's own thing. THis leads me to believe that Affx is trading in sympathy with other non-bio chip manufacturers on the street, rather than with the rest of the biotechs. THis could partially explain why even though biotechs like HGSI are closer to making new high's, affx is still in the dumper - it has now become a chip stock on the street. Brad
