David: Excellent post on campaign finance reform. The GOP screams like banshees when castigating union donations, but is predictably silent on the subject of soft-money corporate strong-arm shake-downs. Similar to the hypocrisy exhibited during the Clinton Witch Hunt ... continuously cite Clinton's sins of the flesh but say nothing about Barr, Burton, Livingston, Watts ... on and on. As long as the GOP remains in power, nothing will be done to reform campaign financing. In the end, however, the GOP faces larger problems that can't be solved by buying ads that twist the truth.
