Joseph: The bigger problem for the Republican Party in the years to come is how to attract more minorities into the party as America becomes more black-Hispanic-Asian and less white. Look at what is occurring in California in terms of racial diversity and a political swing to the Democratic Party. Now multiply that by 20 or so more states in the next decade or two. To state, as you did, that the Democrats' power base depends on a certain amount of ignorance paints you as yet another white Republican elitist.
