One of my pet peeves is the carry over law from when we were primarily an agricultural country that allows kids to drop out of HS when they reach 16. There is no reason to maintain that law. Kids 16 out on the streets rarely find work and have way too much opportunity to get into trouble. Couple that with the immaturity of a 16 year old and it spells nothing but trouble.
