Daniel, Now, if the thing just worked, I don't exactly understand why people wouldn't just use it for the whole job. Sounds to me that it works ok if you're very, very careful about what you're doing. Or if you're compiling Spec code. Otherwise, it sounds like there might be a bug or two in there. Don't be silly - when developing large applications the development environment and libraries are important - I used to really like Borland C but I still sometimes used the horrible Microsoft compiler when it was essential. (Now most of my programming is in TMS320 assembler and Matlab.) John
