Duke,

re: "This is not a bulletin."

I know, and it's not an immediate problem. But these business units have grown from 12.5% of Intel's revenue last year to 19.5% of Intel's revenue in the latest quarter. Since they are much faster growing than IAG, in a couple of years, you could have 50% on Intel's business losing money.

re: These are emerging technologies that may or may not go into mass production.

Fortunatly most of the larger acquisitions are producing products.

I know I wouldn't invest in a "freestanding" company that had revenues of 1,693 million and losses of 600 million. Right now those losses are funded from IAG, Intel Capital, flash sales, and ultimately stock appreciation.

I am willing to give Intel the benefit of the doubt on the potential of the new businesses. But when I saw that they were approaching 20% of revenue, it became a bigger issue, to me. One of those things I need to look out for, in the future.
