Bruce,
Butting in, Bernard has been a great part of Silicon Investor, being among the most knowledgeable of posters in certain technical areas, and for that, he has my admiration and respect. However, he didn't believe Terayon would generate profitable sales nor likely even get off the ground. When it did, he didn't expect it to go much further for the same reasons he now sites once again. Then, TERN seemed to be an S-CDMA only outfit selling into possibly dwindling markets- as he still says. Now, they are indeed much more, thumbs down to S-CDMA or not. Bernard has shown clear prejudice against Terayon's S-CDMA(perhaps justified, but the issue has never been adequately addressed by Bernard, Frank Collucio, Dave Horne, nor anyone else on SI, IMO), Terayon's non-native English speaking brother bosses, and particularly Mr. George Gilder, who's writings he badly mischaracterized on this thread to the detriment of the truth, IMO(and that of numerous others who responded both publicly and privately at the time).
