By the way, those young people who invest in the stock market will not have the disability insurance and life insurance which is currently available under social security.

Huh? EVERYBODY gets SS benefits including insurance. The personal investing allows a better return, that's all. (Besides congress will modify the plan anyway, so this might all be moot.)

If you like the 2% returns SS currently provides, why don't you sell your NT, put the money into bonds, and donate the excess 5% return to charity. 2%!
