Bradley, I appreciated your post so much that I took another peek at this normally ignored poster to see what his response to your very logical question might be.

You're right when you say he has no control over what happens and to suggest that he knows makes him look pretty foolish.

His comment regarding NEJM is a red herring in that it in no way vindicates him for his own actions. I don't recall the specifics of the NEJM arguments but I believe that Gel Tech submitted their study to this journal and apparently became impatient when they failed to respond in a timely manner. It is understood that they eventually pulled the study and went to AJIC who agreed to publish. Who knows whether NEJM ever would have published; not I nor Hank but he will pontificate differently. I do know that GUMM did not have the luxury to wait on NEJM as the cold season was passing them by.

As usual, I disagree with his comments. What he said was that the study would be in a journal of no consequence and that he would garner a team of experts to expose the findings. Such is the pompous nature of this blowhard.

ENT is a fine publication and appears to have conducted a first rate peer review and has deemed to validate the findings. Hank has never demonstrated the character to acknowledge his erroneous comments so none was expected.

I believe that he will be further sullied if (I would believe "when") the preventive study is published. In this instance, it is rumored that a highly regarded DR Turner conducted the study. He has enough credibility in the medical community that ,if in fact, he did conduct the study, he will likely be able to report the findings in any journal he chooses.

To Hank and others chagrin, GUMM has come a long way and all their protestations to the contrary, the science is being vindicated and, I believe, will soon force them to take another approach in their constant barrage against this small company.

The short play would be comical if it weren't so malicious. The success to date of this small company and their attempt to properly validate the science with minimal fanfare doesn't deserve the short's spiteful attention.

Should the preventive study prove effective, then I believe their malevolent game is for all practical purposes over and a chain of events will be set in motion which make Hank, mad2, Goldfinger, Wexler and others superfluous. I am just sorry that the company was subjected to their virulent attacks.

Thanks for your comments.
