Bush ahead by only one point.
Is this the first sign of Gore's debate bounce?
Looks like new momentum for Gore.
I've always said this is going to be close.
Nobody's going to win or lose by more than 5 points or
30-40 electoral votes. It might even be a virtual tie.

As for electoral votes, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Washington, Oregon, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Michigan should go to Gore in the end. If so he wins with 274 electoral votes. The tiniest of victory margins.

Any of these states which Gore wins ends it for Bush;
Nevada, Florida, Arkansas, New Mexico, W. Virginia and Missouri.

Factors to remember going into election day. 51% of Nader voters say they are likely to switch. To Gore of course.
That's an average extra 2% in each battleground state.
Meanwhile Buchanons is advertising now with his 12 million in federal funds. And minorities are going to finally start getting energized if they fear Bush might win. They didn't like the last Bush and they won't like this one any better. One look at Cheney's voting record for instance would terrify them. Against freeing Nelson Mandela from prison??
