We'd do well to adopt such a sensible gun policy as Canada and the rest of the civilized world... Until then, we get to revel in gun-related death figures orders of magnitude higher than those other countries. But wait! It must be that our criminals are nastier, or maybe those other countries simply ENFORCE their existing laws better... Yeah, that's it! Nothing at all to do with the guns themselves! Phew, I was worried for a sec there. Thank God we preserve the right of our citizens to own snub-nosed semi-automatics loaded with armor-piercing bullets. How could we survive as a society without 'em? Come to think of it, why don't we allow folks to carry grenades, too? How about tanks? After all, we have the right to bear arms, right? Just punish those people SEVERELY when they misuse their tank, and take out a school. That'll do the trick! What a polite society we'll have! Doug p.s. It figures that a BUS-head like Dick would also be a gun freak. Both involve misapplication and/or misinterpretation of the law.
