I enjoy reading your posts, and envy the opportunity to live in one of the most thriving cities in the world. It took the top spot as the world's freest place to do business with the least interference from the government, even after China took over. The US came in third, after Singapore.

I have lived in Hong Kong for many years, witnessing how value was created and the leapfrog rise in standard of living throughout the 60's, the 70's and the 80's, well deserved by the people.

I have also lived in Shanghai, China and Singapore and now reside here in the US. I could go back and live in Hong Kong anytime, if my work brings me there again.
