Here are some items I picked up on while listening to the CC today.

* The call:

First of all the call had a different atmosphere to it then before. I contribute that to the new rules on how companies are to release information. Hopefully it's just first time jitters, but I feel they were playing things on the safe side. Because of these new rules I felt part of the talk the CEO gave sounded more as an advertisement, however, it was informational in explaining their view of what Aware, Inc. is and does.

Also there were new analysts asking questions and at least one was from a different firm then in the past...didn't catch the name.

* VeDSL:

The mentioned that VeDSL (the name AWRE uses) is available on ADI chipsets, but that wasn't new news. However they mentioned other names used to describe VeDSL. Maybe someone can help me here...was it AWRE's VeDSL with other names or are there other VeDSL technologies from other companies?

* ADSL Chipset Sale:

- They said their estimate is for 20 Million ADSL chipset to be sold in 2000. So with the 7 Million ADI says they will sell this year that would be more than 1/3 of the market.

- Newbridge is still buying chipsets in volume from ADI. That makes for an Alcatel connection.

- LU is still buying from ADI.

* Revenue:

- 8 customers equal 87% of contract revenues. Hum...How many equal 100 percent?

- When asked how many contributed to royalties they said they couldn't answer.

- There is a new 10% revenue contributing customer who has yet to be announced. Is it Ala, Conexant...or...?????

* Patents:

They have a number of patents being examined by the Patent Office. The patents cover items required for standards and other things. They gave no idea when they expect to know more. I don't think the government would give them info. of that nature.

* General Items:

- When asked about STMicro they said they couldn't comment by terms of the deal.

- Market share estimate given were...for 2000 35%-40%, for 2001 40%-50% is their target.

I'll have to give some thought to who could be that yet announced 10% contributor. In the previous CC they gave those names so I think that may be who we can compare to.
