I think Strangelove qualifies -- dropping a H-Bomb on Russia (remember Slim Pickens whooping, waving his hat, and riding it down) sounds like war to me (and "No fighting in the War Room")

I liked both Zulu movies.

"Zulu"- 1964- Battle of Rorkes Drift. Michael Caine, Stanley Baker, and Jack Hawkins. Singing Welshmen. John Barry score. Singing Zulus.

"Zulu Dawn"- 1979- Battle of Isandlhwana. Burt Lancaster, Peter O'Toole, Sir John Mills, Simon Ward, and Bob Hoskins. Memorable Elmer Bernstein score.

The casts reminded me of other war movies I love:
Peter O'Toole's Lawrence of Arabia -- one of the greatest movies of all time, with an almost perfect cast "Orance -- "

Jack Hawkins The Cruel Sea "Bloody murderer!"

John Mills and Sir Alex -- Tunes of Glory (Army movie anyway)

Simon Ward -- Young Winston
