Mark;

<<It is just hard to imagine a market for larger densities. Or is it "If you build, they will come".>>

You have to tap into the expectations for new markets for disk drives to appreciate what the industry is counting on. Apps like video and music, as well as the whole enterprise storage market all want higher and higher capacity and it appears the industry is ready to serve it up. The real question is whether they will continue to hand it out with a buck or two to boot in a continuation of the pain. In any case, the acceleration is going to remain stuck on 100% per year areal density improvements for the next three years it appears.

Mark, keep your eyes and ears (and weekly polling)open for substantial price firming. Component shortage stories are starting to pop up all over the landscape.
Best,
Stitch
