Ericsson<LMEb.ST> wins $1.35 bln 3G contract STOCKHOLM, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Swedish telecom equipment maker Ericsson said on Friday it had won a $1.35 billion contract to build a third-generation telephony network from Germany's MobilCom AG <MOBG.DE>. The deal gives Ericsson 16 out of the world's 21 contracts for third-generation telephony (UMTS), which will allow mobile phone users to see video and graphics on their handsets and to be constantly connected to the Internet.
