Gayle- I believe something is not correct with that response out of ALA. Or maybe they only told you part of the story. Or I have been under the wrong impression about the ownership of the optronics division.

If ALAO is made up of the assets of ALA, you cannot just take a part of ALA and give it away without renumeration of some nature. Albeit, it may not be in the way of IPO shares to ALA stockholders, but the value unlocked by spinning out a division of ALA, has to benefit shareholders of ALA in some manner. Does anyone understand how?

As I recall, isn't ALA going to spin out their cable division also? Is this also going to be a stripping away of ALA assets to zero benefit of the current shareholders? I doubt it.

I have not paid much attention because I thought for certain the details would have been made very clear by ALA when the optronics spin-out happened. Apparently I was incorrect.

Can anyone shed any further light on the details. -MikeM(From Florida)
