I am going to create a lily pond web site. The centerpiece will be a spreadsheet projecting lily pond royalties. Until refined, or otherwise changed by the thread, the lily ponds will be Allen's list.

The columns will be obvious determinants of royalty amounts. These too will need to be agreed upon by the thread. But clearly, we'll need unit royalties, both old and newer value added, lily pond market growth rate, WIND's market share and projected market share, etc.

We'll need proxies and/or reliable sources for all these. Gartner group, et al would be great for lily pond market growth. If Bubba can provide those across Allen's categories, that would be fantastic. Perhaps you'll need Allen to break them out; for instance, home gateways into DSL and cable modems.

I'll include in this web site the major assumptions we use behind our numbers. Honestly, I don't know when I'll have a prototype to show, but probably not too far off. Please feel free to suggest where other research might fit in.

And thanks.

-Peter
