Gene, AMD is moving to 133/266 FSB by the end of the year, though 100/200 chips look to be in production for a while. There is a Via KT133A coming out that will support both, I'm not sure about the AMD 760, but I'd guess it'd do both too.

It's really hard to read the tea leaves with the P4. I expect there are things that will look quite good with the dual Rambus channel 850, just as there are things that look good on 840 systems now. Overall, though, by all indications it's going to be a big, hot chip, and the coppermine will be much cheaper to produce in any mhz range they can get it up to. And the cumine will be at least as fast, mhz for mhz, in most things.

As for outperforming Athlon systems with cumine, the only way I can see it is if Intel gets a big jump on .13um process, and has enough capacity to do both the P4 and the cumine there. There's no indication that cumine will be able to match Athlon on mhz, on equivalent processes.

Cheers, Dan.
