rudedog, i still don't get it. can you explain how .net will empower me, bob, vs. aol everywhere. i personally think .net will be centralized like hotmail but how is that different than aol. i understand how the pc empowered user over the mainframe. i jumped on lotus123 vs. using a dec system. more flexible and powerful. but we are in the internet age not the mainframe or pc era. everything is going to be delivered via a isp or asp,imo. how does msft plan to be different than the competion i.e., aol, orcl,sunw, silicon investor. we are empowered now. in the future, i believe, we will have numerous options as to what isp or asp to use. that is power and provides the end user with choices/options which is good. what is msft planning to do different; if anything. i do not have a good vision on .net. bob.
