Returning to trickle down, picks and shovels.
I'm sure everyone has noticed the solid earnings reports by Biacore (today), ABIO, Waters (today), Compugen, Quiagen, et.al.,.....the steady upward improvement in business conditions seems widespread (20%-30% sales growth for the bigger ones, and higher for the others may become a phenomena). Caliper gets an upgrade and explodes, same with IVGN. Healthy, almost robust, all the way around.
Not sure what my point is here, but I remember Beckman Instruments during the difficult market conditions in the 70s....you would maybe not have noticed it in the present, but if you let it go and looked back after several years you would have had that damn-I'm-smart-why-didn't-I-buy-more feeling.
