I like Texas. Had a great time during two months-long visits. Texans like to have fun and I've shared this. My problems are political and involve Bush, not the good folk from Texas.

Regarding the 70 percent who reelected him? What was the percentage of voter turnout for that election? And why wouldn't Texans wanna give the son of the most recent Republican president a boost for the presidency by getting him elected twice as governor?

Regarding those who don't vote? Of course Bush wishes they'd remain home. I'm surprised he doesn't have Dick Cheney out there on the stump, reminding people not to vote. Cheney, since he became CEO of Haliburton, never liked voting in elections either, missing 14 of the last 16 elections.
