Apparently Charlton Heston thinks we're an enslaved people up here... or about to be. said as much in a speech to a gun club out west in BC (where they are a bit more wacky anyhow)... the rest of the country just laughed at him. People up here simply dont want the gun culture that proliferates south of the border.. the NRA cant seem to grasp that...they figure we must all be socialist up here and under the thumb of the government (I'd say something about the fact there is such a thing as democratic socialism.. but thats another OT tangent)
