Darrell - I think you need to tread lightly on the "no price wars" turf, given that DELL has discounted their volume server lines, a move none of their competition has followed. I also have anecdotal evidence of lots of pressure on the DELL sales team in Europe to move server units, and the weapon seems to be price there also. I don't believe that component cost decreases justify anything close to the cuts in the list prices, and the actual costs being given to big customers are a lot lower than the published prices. I just hope they don't jeopardize earnings numbers while going after share.

That's one of the reasons I am so interested in the IDC server numbers. Even though DELL has almost 2 weeks left, my sense is that they are fighting in a tough market.
