DISAGREEMENT
Excuse me while I rage and rant, And try to tell you of my slant, And of the circles, if you'll grant The time it takes to draw them out Or name them as they run about Sometimes they whisper, times they shout Of homes like hives, With small divides, And greener than yours, so keep your side And mine is better, faster, grander - Disagreement gets the dander, Think alike, or face a slander
Times in circles, fashion too, Both to place restraints on you And me, though disregard a few And hope no one will notice, care - Going where? Not too far, lest they stop and stare And wonder why you haven't heard, Yellow's out, it's quite absurd, Why, you look like that famous bird, Who's taught us what is wrong and right, And there's nothing we should fear at night (He scares me, even in the light)
I don't know why the T.V. lies They know the truth and then disguise 'It's what they want' - their alibis And give your money to the needy, And keep it coming, they're getting greedy, Then we're all switching sides so speedy That sometimes, when I stop for air, I look around and wonder where I am - what side? or should I care? And circles just keep spinning 'round, So now, before I lose my ground, I'll stop, and bring my hemlines down
