This sounds like a really good idea. I feel I've lost a lot of perspective these last two weeks because of what I viewed as exaggerated and unfair attacks on Texas, which to be sure has the problems mentioned, but has had many of them them for a very long time, and are not all GW's doing! And I also have a very negative personal reaction to Gore the man, so if we can contrast the two without emotion, and educate ourselves on the issues, it would be great.

So I just read the two views.
And of course, I wind up with questions.
Gore is for the signing of the McCain Feingold Act- the Rep. are, it seems, against it. Now GW does say he is for banning soft money and paycheck protection from unions. What is different about the McC F act that the Rep don't like it? There seems to be some protests about violation of free speech by the ACLU re: the McC F Act
DIdn't Gore also take money from drugs and tobacco? He spends a lot of emotional words on how awful this is.

Gw seems to have been more specific -- line item veto, end pork barrel legislation, end the ability of the congress to shut down the govt...
