The 50k barrier is arbitrary and insignificant. So there is some little disincentive to earn 50k if you expect to make 48k or if you make 55k to make less. This is precisely what I was talking about. Throw out the idea because there is some infinitesimal aspect which is materially irrelevant. The true motive is to retain the "fair" system, because in your heart, you know it's right.
