Milo-- Maybe accusing everyone who is pro-choice of being a complacent observer of murder makes you feel better about advocating such a simplistic and wrong opinion, but you are really being silly with your assertion, "Abortion is population control, by killing life." Sure, a three day old zygote is alive. Then again, so is a paramecium or a colony of fungus.

However, a three day zygote is not a human life. You can play games and argue about potential for life or whatever, but then contraception and abstinence are murder too. I suppose a person that causes a woman a week into a pregnancy to have a miscarriage is also a murderer? There is just no way to argue that a collection of undifferentiated cells is a human life subject to the protections of civil society. Nor is an ovary with a sperm entering it. On the other hand, a thirty week old fetus certainly is a human life.

The abortion "issue" is very, very simple-- if a cesarian section or other medical procedure can be performed to take the fetus out, and there is a non-zero probability that the baby would survive without being put in an synthetic womb to complete the pregnancy cycle artificially, states should be able to legislate. At any time before this point, abortion should be absolutely permissible under any circumstances.

The precise location of "this point" occurs roughly at 24 weeks into the pregnancy, but should be left up to the discretion of a woman's doctor in terms of deciding not to perform an abortion on a viable baby.
