Hmmm, I think Edward O. Thorpe (MIT professor who ran "Monte Carlo" computer simulations of blackjack to ascertain the best way to play. He wrote "Beat the Dealer") would disagree with that asseesment of blackjack. It's basically all about card counting and betting heavy when the odds are in your favor and betting less when they are not. The whole reason the house has gone to multiple decks is to flatten the bell curve so card counting is not as favorable. When there are more decks the high sigma opportunities of a favorably skewed deck occur much less frequently.

I see trading in a similar vain. Look to take advantage of statistically favorable set-ups.
