I agree with you. I am very concerned about the future- we live in the best of all possible times. The world is generally at peace for the moment, we have cheap imports which we finance with our rapidly escalating trade imbalances, we have relatively low rates, we have relatively low inflation, anything can tip the balance now, and eventually it will tip. Into what, no one can say for sure. But what we OUGHT to be doing now- during the fat years, is planning for the lean years. I do not see anyone doing that.
