Mirror Image to Launch Commercially in 4Q

Taken from a Legg Mason report on Exodus someone posted on Yahoo:

Joint Exodus/Mirror Image content distribution offering in beta with 20 customers now, said to be performing well.
The Mirror Image content distribution offering is reportedly on track for full release in 4Q and is said to be doing well in current beta testing. MirrorImage has installed 17 of its Content Access Points (CAPs) in Exodus data centers, essentially consisting of large storage repositories and servers connected to the Exodus backbone network, which customers will use to mirror their Web sites in geographically dispersed locations around the Internet to speed site performance and improve redundancy. This offering is meant to compete with content distribution offerings from Akamai, Digital Island, and others, though it will take a more centralized approach to distributing Webcontent. If it is successful in the market, we think this offering may eventually become very important to Exodus' efforts to keep as much billable Web traffic flowing over its network as possible, providing some insurance against potential migration of traffic off of Exodus' network as other service providers try to move it to the edge.
