mark, I believe that shalom is saying that Christians should not fight among themselves, but his post does not condone one Christian supporting another that is acting in an unloving, or(I'm not going to say "mean spirited" because it is a clintonism and it's use makes me sick) cruel way.
As you probably know, I have been involved in arguments with other Christians, and wish that it had not happened, but Christians are humans too, and none of us are perfect. Unfortunately, Christians do take sides in some debates over rituals and doctrines. Most of the Christians not involved in the debate abstain from it.
The time grows ever nearer that all Christians must make every effort to overlook the differences in rituals, doctrines, and other diverse methods of worship, in order to completely unite against the onslaught of Atheists, Pagans, Agnostics, and other kinds of satanic based concepts that are doing everything in their power to destroy our beliefs. While I do not advocate the killing of the members of other beliefs, I am not willing to cut them a lot of slack when they attack Christianity, and believe that when attacked, a good offense is the best defense.
