I think there is a difference between commercial users/end uses and consumers. I would agree that commercial uses are fast changing to digital equipment/processing and that this is not a fad. For consumer it is not going to change soon... if ever. Digital photo take up a lot of space on computer disk (I know that storage is fast expanding and its price is going down, but still..) and most importantly you do not want to open your computer to show the pictures of your kids, or your last vacation or ... whatever. You want real pictures that you can pass around, take in your walet or your purse, bring over to family etc. I have a digital camera: it is nice to include pictures in my reports, but that is it. I get the same feeling from people I know. May be I don't know enough people.
