1. Normally a world political/military shock produces a sharp break in the stock market, which is a sign to get out at once with what's left IF YOU BELIEVE THAT THERE WILL BE A DISASTER COMING TO THE US, or a sign to buy if you don't. But I look at the stocks most of us like and with the exception of QCOM, their prices are buoyant, near or at the top. So I would neither rush in and buy nor dump the good stocks.
2. My personal belief is that the 1947 UN decision to take away some Arab land and hand it to a new state, Israel, was plain stupidity. The basis for "ownership" of this land by the people of Israel is the old testament, a scarcely believable document. The echoes of this stupid decision will be with us forever. If you are going to sell everything every time that Palestine/Israel explodes you'll never make any money in the U.S. stock market. JMHO.
