To Investor Relations / GET OUT of BED
This is the year 2000 and to maintain a professional look requires change. In my opinion you people need new young leadership.
All I hear on the internet, CNBC and the IBD (Investors Business Daily) is how lame your leadership is. This letter should be forwarded to your Board of Directors. Lucent has become the LAUGHING STOCK of the DOW. This bothers me and it should be your primary goal to make me, the investor who supports you, happy and above all, confident.

Let's get aggressive and go after our business share. It's high time we give Cisco and the like a taste of our competitive spirit. This is not that hard, but it does require getting out of bed in the AM . All areas of the business need work, I like to use the phrase, LETS CLEAN OUT FROM UNDER THE CARPETS. In other words turn the place inside out. Specifically it's time for a new front man. I mean a new CEO and CFO. Get your advertising back on track, trim the fat, cut the prices , increase circulation and above all hit the pavement and go knocking on clients doors before they knock ours down.

Now wouldn't we all feel better if our stock price and our PRIDE were on the RISE !
