Hmmm, Intel has two cores they could use - coppermine (too slow) or willamette (too big). Will they go with too slow or too big? And they'll still be 32 bit.

Not much point in going with too slow, so I'll guess Intel will pick too big. It would be a nice way for Intel to give up market share while keeping all their new FABs maxed out. Even at .13 how many fewer than 50 dual core Willamettes will Intel be yielding per wafer? Too bad they'll have to compete with a dual 64 bit chip. OTOH, maybe Intel will put two Itanium cores on a chip - that should be easy to yield!
